Default LS1 Piston Rod info???

I know the LS1 rods are 6.098" long and the big end is 2.25".

The "old" SBC was 5.7" long with a 2.100" big end.

I "think" the Pin on both is 0.927".

Looking at all of that, it looks like the only difference between the rods (besides length) is the LS1's Big end is larger.

I know when people make 396s they offset grind the factory crank. Do they then use "SBC" rods (with the smaller rod end)?

Since "SBC" rods are so cheap, what problems would a person run into using the smaller rod size of the "SBC" rod on a 346 CI LS1.
