Has anybody tried the hurst t handle shifter? If so do you like it and the way that it feels when you are shifting?

I had a T-shifter on my older car ('86 firebird) and it was fun for a while, but then I got tired of it and went back to the ****. It just felt more comfortable on my hand as I was shifting.

Back on the main topic (and I know I am going to hear it from you guys for this one...), I have a Mustang 1/4 stick and a 2000 Cobra R **** on my T/A now. Looks exactly like the black leather pistol grip **** from Hurst, but instead of having the stupid "H" on it, it has the 6-speed pattern (with reverse) imprinted on the top. I know, I know...it's a Ford part (my cousin gives me **** all the time for it - he's a Mustang guy), but I like the look of it, almost looks factory stock (no Ford logos or anything), and it looks much better than the gray plastic factory ****.

Oh yeah - and I had to bolt in the 1/4 stick instead of Lou's short stick since the thread pattern on the Cobra R **** is obviously made for Ford sticks. The 1/4 stick actually didn't fit until I turned it around to install it backwards, then it fit perfectly and gave the same look as Lou's short stick.

Im not a big fan of the t-handle shifter it just doesnt feel right for me. I have a 6spd pattern ball shifter and i switch back and fourth between the stock hurst **** all the time. The stocker feels great to me too.

Ha ha, I guess it's ok since I have ZR-1 rims on the car as well! At least they're still in the GM family...

I was thinking about it, but first I wanted to totally rice out the car and add a ton of snake stickers and write COBRA - R across the back in a black Sharpie. That should show up real nice on my black car...

Oh my poor baby...if she only new what I was saying! I can see it now - I'll leave work and she won't start for me.

Check out http://ripps70.com/Page_1.html they can make you a custom one like they did for me. They come in different sizes as well, as it all depends on what you want.
