Default t56 rebuild......what level?

need a little help. i have no idea which level i should be looking at. level 3 sounds like what i need, but i don't want to spend for a level 3 when i should be on a 5.

car is fbody 600rwhp, twin tex, may spray somewhere in the future to somewhere around 750, but no spray yet.

i guess part of the problem is i'm not sure what the big differences are. if i were to go level 5, someone said viper shafts were breaking and i needed to spend extra to change out to a different yoke or something? i'm sure i don't have that exactly right, but does that make sense.

level 3/4/or 5?

car won't be raced at a track much, but some, driven fairly hard though when i drive it. i like to bang the gears hard on the back country roads

No one that we have ever built one for has broken a viper shaft. I have a 99 GTS that made 1602 and went 8.29. Never had any shaft problems with it.

I would do all of the standard upgrades like billet keys, bronze pads, steel fork as well as the viper input shaft and viper output shaft conversions.

It all depends on who you are going to use as to the cost as well as the warranty they offer.

PS: If you don't make more than 700rwhp you will not need the viper conversions.

We all have different packages and they are all different so you have to look at the company to decide what is included. Either way there are plenty of us out there to help. Just make sure you use who you feel comfortable with and make sure they offer you a 1 year warranty like ours.

That is us. I remember you Rob. Talked to you alot when we were there. If you want over 700 go with that package. Mine is more expensive since he is offering the discount. My rebuilds come with a full 1 year warranty would be the only difference. Good luck with whoever you choose.

if you were to do the viper input and output shaft conversion, does that mean you would have to change your clutch as well? i have a mcleod twin and i don't want to spend another thousand on a clutch setup. i have a pst driveshaft with a 1350 slip yoke off the tranny, would the new viper yoke be able to fit the pst?

Listen to what amber is telling you, they did my rebuild and I am way happy with it, I honestly enjoy driving my 00 with a rebuild then I ever did with my 98 with no rebuild.

I second that! Amber knows her **** plus my buddy had his sent there and it's bullet proof. I guess it's nice to have the viper internals but like amber told me good luck with the gear set. I will be sending mine out in about 2 weeks for the stage one rebuild. dude call them since they just want to make sure you are getting what you are paying for. She'll explain everything and every package. YOU ROCK AMBER!!

Thanks guys. I really appreciate that. No you do not have to change the clutch. The spline count is the same it is the diameter of the shaft that is different.

Have a great weekend.

We offer a 12 month warranty on our transmission as well. All warranty info is included in the package we send back out. I don't think Joey has it posted on our site, so if anyone needs to see the details just shoot Joey@Tickperf a pm.

Also, we only offer 3 basic packages to keep confusion to a minimum. Most builds don't need any other items than we include in our packages. If something extra is necessary, like a 5-6 slider for example we just call the customer and let them know that we recommend that they replace that also. By doing it this way, no one orders a package that has items they do not need.

Lastly, putting a warranty on a trans based on rwhp is difficult to do. A 2700 lb. Rx-7 with an LS1 swap would be much easier on the trans than a full weight f-body. Weight, driving style, rpm at launch, tires, etc. all come into play. Give us a call or shoot us a pm and we will steer you in the right direction!
