Default guys with 408strokers or anyone opinions needed on set up

im getting ready to do a 408 stroker on my silverado ...and probably leaning toward the texas speed stroker block but my question is how does this build sound with a vindicator cam or a texas giant cam would this be a killer 408
i believe this set up is gonna brin the compression up to about11.6:1
wat numbers should i see
408 cid short-block
diamond -2cc pistons
callies compstar 6.125ls1 rods
callies compstar crankshaft
total seal plasma moly/napier 2nd ring set
with slps
Cylinder Head and Manifold Package, SLP/L92 Drive by Wire (64cc)
SLP's L92 cylinder heads are surfaced milled and come with a CNC'd finished chamber. The combustion chambers are set at 64cc's (stock 70.2cc) and come with Competition Cams 918 valve springs (SLP# 53003) which are set to the proper install height and titanium retainers (SLP# 53104). Also, included are eight L92 offset 1.7 intake rocker arms and two L92 rocker arm pedestals.

Any custom cam designer would be fine just its just that the L92s work best with a custom no one has really made an off the shelf grind for them yet.

Looks good man really close to the set-up I am building I don't see any reason why you wont make 480-500+ Rwhp with a proper cam.

Hell yeah it will! I just did 497 RWHP with just a lil' MS3 and FAST 90/90 in my TSP 408. And there's more to be had, was breathing thru stock MAF and super rich!!! Will be swaping the MS3 for a Texas Giant soon (20~25 RWHP more right there) there's 520 ~ 530 RWHP in the car, just need to find those last few HP.

Took a ton of fuel out of the VE table but ran out of dyno time. Tuned by Jeremy Formato.

M6, have replaced the stock MAF with a 85mm and looking for a 90mm Lid. Will also be adding 2 cutouts and the Texas Giant cam. Being at almost 500 already thru a full exhaust, conservatively those final mods should put it at 520 RWHP and maybe a little more.

Also running a Nitrous shot for ***** and giggles jetted for 150 Hp. Don't wanna go more 'cause of 11.5 CR your guess as good as mine what it'll do with that.

I'm looking at doing about the same thing now, but I'm thinking about a set of AFR 225 heads instead with a FAST 90/90. I'm already running a speed density tune, so I won't have the maf restriction. Otherwise, same setup. I like it.

With those pistons you can't. 11.6 CR is too much. For F/I you'll have to change pistons to bring compression down. Not a big deal.

If you want to go forced induction, you need to have lower compression to get the most horsepower. 9:1 would be decent if you weren't going to get the FI yet, but were going to in the future. With nitrous, you can go with either high or low, better high due to running N/A on the street. Plan your build, then go with it, or you'll always be running in circles. Figure out what you want to do, FI/N2O/strictly N/A, whatever, then do some searches on compression ratios and figure out what static and dynamic compression ratios will work for you.
