Exclamation problem with intake/TB

I got the TB out to get it PNP but I am kind of worried. There is like black soot-type stuff on the back side of the TB and I looked in the intake and felt it with my finger by the opening and the same stuff is right there too. I took some pics of the TB ahead of time and I will attach them but like I said the inside of the intake is the same...this worries me. Maybe a small gasket leak or something but let me know if this is a big deal or not. The last 2 pics show the difference between the color of the front and rear of the TB.

I was thinking that I might need to get an ls6 intake but I wanted to wait until mayb next fall so I could get other mods on. TB is getting sent out monday to get PNP still.

It's pretty normal. It's a buildup from EGR and a small amount of reversion. Add all that with a lot of heat and it will bake on the throttle blade.

Not to worry though, clean it or not it won't make any difference.

Someone else said it could have been caused by the PCV valve too. I have noticed a little loss of power lately.

It's completely normal, don't worry about it. Unless you have a brand new car, it will be dirty like that

You will suck oil in from the pcv valve. Normal but you can put a PCV oil catch can on. Also what Robin said about the EGR.
