Default Engine build-402,427,454,408?

Hello everyone, I want to start a new engine build for my WS6.I cant keep my mind made up on one setup. I do know this...I want N/A but able to use a small shot of NO2 if I decide to in the furure, keep the EFI, streetable power, looking between 450 and 550 rwhp(I have to say this but if I had 400 I wouldnt care because the smile on my face would be so big)

What kind of horsepower is everyone running with the 402s and 408s.Has anyone had bad experiences or great ones with certain companies(please PM me...I dont like to publicly bash sponsers), and as always I am more than open to suggestionsThanks in advance.

Im running a 454 with a bottle necked ls6 intake and stock ls1 throttle body, and it still makes about 500 rwhp. Better heads intake and t.b. would probably net another 100+ rwhp. And the tourqe is crazy with a 454!!

A 402 could get you 400-500 rwhp easy.

But there is no replacement for displacement!

408ci = 520 ~ 540 RWHP if done right. Plus it's an iron block so you can spray/boost the **** out of it later.

An assembled shortblock with forged crank, good rods and good pistons will run you $3,500 ~ #3,800 depending on choice of parts. Go to www.Texas-Speed.com and price one out for yourself.

ALL your LS1 accessories and sensors will transfer over. No wiring harness modifications.

IMHO it's the best bang for the buck.

We have a nice 550rwhp 402,its very streetable and can handle a ton of nitrous. You can go with a larger engine but it isnt needed for your goals.
