Default How much is my engine worth??????

I'm looking to swap out motors within a year or so. I'm going to go with a procharged LSX motor, so I would be selling my motor as a longblock with the intake, MAF, t/b, etc... Here's the details...

-Stock cube LS1
-Stock heads/bottom end
-Comp Cams 222/224 .566/.568 112lsa camshaft
-Comp Cams 918 valve springs
-Edelbrock Victor Series long tube headers
-ASP under drive pulley kit
-SLP 85mm High Flow Lid
-SLP 85mm mass air sensor
-SLP 85mm smooth bellow
-Professional Products polished aluminum 85mm intake manifold
-Professional Products polished 85mm throttle body
-Professional Products fuel rails
-MSD 8.5mm super conductor plug wires

Nitrous kit will have to go too....

-NX Wet Nitrous System w/ Purge
-----Custom 85mm Nitro Daves Nitrous Plate
-----Nitro Daves console switch panel w/ pressure guage
-----Nitro Daves stand alone fuel system
-----FJO progressive nitrous controller
-----NX automatic bottle heater
-----NX nitrous filter
-----Fuel pressure safety switch
-----2 10lb bottles

Car has been 10.48 @ 126 with this set-up with a VERY safe tune for the nitrous.

So what should I be able to get out of the motor/nitrous kit?

I dont know about other people but personally once an engine has been modified and had nitrous ran thrue it a few times " Fairly large shot" I would not b interested in the engine at all.

Althogh Ill agree with the first response and say around 2.5

Probably better off parting it out and returning the engine to stock.

Nitrous is only "bad" for engines when idiots don't know how to use it. My car runs much richer on nitrous than it does without it. The engine ******* loves the juice!! I won't lie. It's seen 150 every time down the track, and I've been through about 20 bottles.....and will go through 50 more if I keep the motor.

How many miles are on the motor? If you have over 75k on it I don't think you can get much more then 2-2.5k. Also, if you are not including the harness, computer, PS, A/C or injectors you may not get as much as yo want for the engine because these items will add a lot to the final cost for someone doing an LS1 swap in an LT1 car.

yea that dude doesnt know what hes talking about. If run properly nitrous wont hurt a motor. Seems like you ran it right too. I would say at least 2,250$

There is just over 68k miles on the motor.

I would be getting rid of everything except the harness.

Personally I would sale the motor as is and ask $2,800. Then I would sale the nitrous kit seperate. There is too many people out there that think if a motor has been sprayed its on death row. They don't understand how its tuned and used is the life of the motor. Good Luck.

A guy is trying to sell an engine locally simalar to yours $1,500. I think he may be down to $1,000 now. I know he lowered it to $1,250.

I would say you would get more parting it out and selling the kit and engine upgrades separate, but everything together I would say around 2500-3000
