Hey all,

I just bought new headers for my 2000 trans am and i was wondering what type of exhaust gaskets are on the stock motor. Plus if i can reuse the gaskets with my new headers.

A few people said to me that they just reused it if it was the metal gaskets. If this is the case, is it a good idea?

thats exactly what i did, IMO there is nothing better than the GM gaskets......mine have not leaked at all with them....just reuse them

well i agree but i still bought brand new gm gaskets...new part usually = new gasket

gaskets are relatively cheap so there's no reason not to buy new ones for your new headers. you're only saving a little $ where it could cost you more time and $ later on

fel pro gaskets 10$ at auto zone well worth not having to go back and fix the leaks later.
