Talking New Alpine Head Unit... LOVE IT!!

Ok guys i just got done taking my stock Monsoon HU out and putting in a Alpine CDE-9870. I was sitting at home and got the urge to splurge and thought i should buy something for the car. I went to Best Buy and found this HU. It was only $119.99. For this price it is awesome! I ended up spending $169.XX because i got a wiring harness and mounting bracket too. If you guys are like me who like good sound but would rather save money for performance work this is the HU for you. It sounds awesome with the stock speakers. I really like it and would recommend it to people who don't want to spend a lot of money on sound. I LOVE THIS HU!!!

Alpine's sound good. If you decide to bypass the monsoon amp with an aftermarket amp then you can hear the real performance of the headunit.

Your telling me if i unplug my monsoon amp and plug it into another one it will get better? Thats tempting... Will the speakers hold it? They are all stock except the previous owner put in two mid range Alpine speakers...

Put this same hu in my ride as well a few weeks ago... It was like I had a whole new speaker system in my car, my kicker components & coaxials sound so much better now.. I just added a new kenwood amp & one of Kee audio's stealth boxes w/ a CDT sub & it sounds great.

Alpine is great...the first thing I did to my TA was put my Alpine system out of my Z28 into it. Alpine coaxles and componnets, single type R 10" in a custom box and a DVA-001 in dash. I used Fosgate amps. The system is sweet, I highly reccomend Alpine.
