How loud would 2.5" duals over the axle 1 chamber flows w/ cats be?
Going nuts trying to pick the perfect set-up for me. Its a DD street car that i dont want to get in trouble with the cops. System will be longtubes, then 3" magnaflow metallic spun cats, then stepped down to 2.5" duals w/x-pipe ran all the way out the back through a 228/232 110lsa cam. How loud would this setup be compared to ORY systems such as magnaflow/ borla? Would this get me in to trouble with the cops? no emissions testing here.

I would think it would definitely be louder as those little race mufflers are going to be no match for a full-size muffler when it comes to quieting exhaust.
It'll definitely be a bit louder. Whether or not you'll get in trouble...well, that depends. If you go WOT past cops...well, you'll probably get in trouble. If you drive like a normal person (under 2500 rpm's), you'll probably be fine.

over the axle, WITH cats... you'll be fine. I bet you'll be surprised how quiet it is.
(not saying it's going to be "quiet" but it'll be quieter than you expect.)

^ thanks man, i probably will need some more convincing. I personally dont mind if its a bit loud, its just the 5-0 im worried about. If its close to an ORY/catback setup ill be fine, even if its a bit louder i should manage if i keep out of it

^^^^ trust me i have many many times. Quick question, at idle do you think u can be heard from a 100 feet away? Also do the 1 chambers give a high pitched refined note like a vette or not?

well let me put it this way.. I live in an apartment complex... You can hear my car idling from the inside..
With the H you will get a low, deep bassy tone.. vettes have an x pipe which is a higher pitched tone..
On my vid with the MagnaPacks, i had an X pipe.. and the H went on with the 1 chambers

I LOVED the high pitched tone of my x pipe 4x9 setup at anything over 4500 rpms
