With an upgraded turbo+tune, yeah.

Stock, no way. like 275 to the wheels, if that. STI's are rated at 300~, base WRX is rated ~225

Hell, there's a 2.0 STi with an upgraded turbo in town here that only put down 355 to the wheels on 93 with a stock tune.

425 with 110 Octane though.

Here is a dyno sheet from a 2006 WRX:

Quick question-3161.jpg

Pretty impressive. The phat stage 1 upgrade netted some lucky guy 0.4 whp.

202/234 at the wheels, it is advertised as 230/235 on the engine but that is obviously pretty underrated, probably to sell more of the STi's which are advertised at 305/290. If the STi had the same loss to the wheels as the WRX then it would put down 268 whp but I would guess a stock STi would be lower than that. These are from the 2006s, before that it was even less hp.

I won't be buying one anytime soon.

Found it, stock 2006 STi puts down 238 whp, so if you raced a stock WRX it had somewhere around 202 or 238 whp on a Mustang dyno. Should have been an easy stomping.

Quick question-3157.jpg

EDIT: Holy crap, it costs $1875 for these guy's stage 2 power upgrade on the STi and it only nets 39 whp. (a compelling 277 whp)

STI's are no joke they can make massive power with just lil mods. plus the AWD make them sucky to race from a dig.
