Ya, it's all over the news. I've heard of three touchdowns so far. One took out a large tree, and another took out a power transformer. No reported injuries so far.

It touched down just out side my wifes work. She saw it take that tree. And a semi trailer blew over behind the Target store which is very close to Tom's shop.

Last one in the area was in 72 they said but it was deadly, so they are uncommon but not unheard of.

Earth quake is next although Oregon already had one off the coast this week 6.4, it was inconsequential thankfully.

My parents and friends out in NE are getting hit hard. My buddy had already spent 1800 (more than double a normal winter) on heating and it wasnt even the worst part of the winter yet. They have a lot of oil heat out there and with oil being at the prices it is they are getting hit hard.

...
I'm not so sure that it's inconsequential. That quake is on the Cascadia Fault and is over due for THE big one. There has also been at least 2 6+ quakes at the very northern tip of the Cascadia. See http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/.../10/230_50.php.

I watched a show last night that predicts a 9+ quake for 5 minutes or more when this rips.

JFC! That would be enormously devastating. So what your saying is that these "little" quakes are the pre-cursor to the real deal coming. Like in the Indian ocean one that triggered the tsunami.

I hate bridges. Just hope I'm not on or under one when it happens.

I talked to a friend of mine that lives down there, and it was actually about 2 blocks from her house... but she was fortunate enough to not any damage.

We got lots of rain and hail and a little wind. But nothing out of the ordinary after that. It cruised down 78th street about a a half mile south of me.
