got a cam so i get a little more mph per gear, but heres mine 1st-50,2nd-85,3rd-115,4th-135, 5th- 155,6th- it goes forever

It will if you've got the horsepower and raised rev limiter. But yeah, a more realistic number for stock is 170. I have been close to 160 and am confident that my car could do 180. Pegging the 155 speedo is plenty fast enough for me though.

how much top speed would u lose from going from the stock 3.42s to 3.73s in a 6spd

The best I could get with my 1999 stock M6 (SLP LM and LID) in 5th was 155mph. Not sure in 6th, because I didn't have all day.

LS1 f-bodies actually hit top speed in 5th gear due to HP being the limiting factor. So changing gear will actually not hurt a stock ls1 on top speed.

ive been curious about this also, if you go to 4.10's in an m6 will your top speed still be in 5th gear which would redline at 151 or would you be able to partially pull 6th gear to say 160-170?? not that i will ever find out i jus want to know

my car stock auto trans cut out at 166 mph on a gps hand held device which is pritty accurate.

stock car with limiter removed the most I've ever seen was about 165mphand that's was with several diffrent car's. 6th gear doesn't pull any higher then were 5th gear got you too. to much wind restance. also the limiter is 156 or 159 I don't rember which right off the top of my head.

For a 6 speed, you should see about 50 in first, 75 in second, and right around 100 in third. I don't know what the top speed in gears are beyond those.

I pulled my 02 Z28 M6 to 161 by the Nuvi Nav. System and the car is stock with a SLP LM2 Exhaust and if you pull that in 5th gear and then shift to 6th
it will fall back to about 138
