Default Can yall tell me if you think it's worth it

Well hey guys, I am writing this thread because I am currently tring to sell my car and I have been offered a pertial trade. The car is a wrecked 01 ws6 with 54,500 miles on the car. There are pics here and I would like for you to look at them and let me know what yall think. My main concern is not so much frame damage but rather the drivers side inner fender, the metal part that fender bolts on to. Is that a piece that just bolts to the car or is it part of the structure? But anyways I am just wondering what yall have to say about it. The price for my car is $12,800 and he offered me $8500 and the car. Please feel free to speak your mind.

That car looks fairly hosed. But, if you're mechanically inclined and have some free time, you could probably make a lot parting it out on here. Most of the wheels look to be ok, and the interior looks alright. Would likely be a great candidate for a parts car.

Thanks for all the advice guys, but the only way I would get the car is if I was going to mess around with it and make it driveable again. But so far it seems to be the same that the car isn't really worth fixing. The only reason i am even considering it is because of the low miles. And to be honest if I do do it, it would more of a strip car than a daily driver or anything like that. I guess I should have mentioned that lol. But feel free to chime in more.

If you want to fix it, it seems like it would take more than the $4,300 difference to get it fixed right. I'm no bodyman, but I know the hood alone is over 700 bucks.

Ohh I know it would take a good bit of time and money to get back to prime, but like I said I think I will make it more of strip than street car. yes I will drive it on the street but I am pretty sure I want to go more strip.
As for the hood, I would just slap a stock TA hood on there

I would say it depends quite a lot on the fact that how much of the work you can do yourself. IMO it would not make too much sense unless you can do pretty much most of the work yourself, or at least at a very steep discount.

The only thing that I think I can't do myself is the paint, but I am pretty confident that there won't be any frame damage and so everything else should just beable to be unbolted and removed right?!?

Don't assume anything. Except for the worst, of course.

Have you seen the car in person? It is very difficult to judge frame damage by just looking at pictures.

The front end of my 95 TA looked quite similar when I got in an accident with it and after examination it was deemed to have damage to the frame. Hence it was totaled by my insurance company.

wait...YOU are the one paying $8500 for that?

Don't do it.... ESPECIALLY since you are only going off his pics.

You have absolutely no idea if that frame is tweaked in any way....

That's way too much money to spend for all the stuff that could go wrong....

If you really wanted a track car, find something cheaper with more miles... because honestly... if its just a track car who cares if it has 50k more miles....

no he is trying to sell his car and wants 12.5k for it and someone offered him that car and 8500 cash, and IMO if that has or will have a rebuilt title its not worth fixing I would either swap it into somethin else like a RX7 or part it out b/c if you try to sell it you would probally only get 6-7 for it after you fix and and im sure it will cost more then that to fix

It's up to you on what you want to do. If it were me I would look for a ls car that didn't have a motor in it for cheap and do a swap. Then turn around and sell it to make about $10k or more plus what you have left then buy a vette. That's just me though.

Dang it I keep on forgetting to say important things. The accident was never reported and the car will still have a clean and clear title. I knew I was forgetting to say something.
But thank you all for all of the input. And please keep in on coming.
