Does anyone know the flow numbers or have any experience with the Cartek Stg 2X heads? I was all set to order a set of PRC stg 2.5 5.3L heads today but I can get a set of the Carteks used from my local shop for a pretty good price. As usual I am debating again which way I should go. Help me out.

had both the 2x and TFS. Best results for me = TFS.

I would buy the TFS like O3EBZO6 said. I am more than likely going to buy a set before spring.

The problem with the TFS is the price and the fact I need to buy new rockers and a Fast 90 to take advantage of them. I can get a used Procharger kit for that price and make way more power which is why I talked myself into a set of budget heads. The Cartek's are not budget heads but I can get them at a good price.

Carteks heads are very good..
Julio has taken alot of time in developing a quality factory casting.

Depending on the price I would go with the Cartek 2X heads...
If $$$$ is no option I would go ETP 215

I would go carteks and put the money saved toward a FAST 90/90 set up or something. From what I have read they are nice heads.

We have worked with TFS heads and ported them to get some high ten’s. They are a good set of aftermarket heads, but our 243 heads have run quicker and faster numbers and feel they are superior to the TFS heads.

Our proven 4X package has run as low as 10.32 @ 132 MPH on a stock bottom end.

obviously you really dont know much about cartek...look in the drag racing section there is a list of the fastest h/c cars and guess what alot of them have cartek h/c packages.

I would buy PRC heads. They offer the latest port technology and the heads are new.

What is the latest porting technology exactly?Do you know who designed the ports on the PRC heads?People suggest heads here cause theres a ton of inflated dyno results.Get the Carteks .

Of the options PRC. If it were my car I'd look into some take off stock 243s if you can't spring for TFS heads.
