Default Anyone use the new PP 225/229 cam?

Wondering who has results for the new Patriot Performance 225/229 .580/.590 114* cam. Was thinking about it, the TR228 228/228 .588/.588 114*, or Futral F13 230/232 .595/.585 114*. Heads are ported 5.3's with a LS6 intake, LT's & no cats out 2.5" true dual exhaust.

I am leaning towards Patriot's 225/229 cam myself, but I think the lift numbers are 585/595.

In the early years that was statement was true. They steped up and warrantied alot of there mistakes. I think they were getting there parts subcontrated from various companies. Anywhos, what are the spec's of that cam, and do they have a lower seperation than 114.

Almost every one of our sponsors have had some type of problem at one point in time... I would like to hear what real world experience do you have with any of these 3 cams or other similar recommendations.

I have heard nothing but good things aswell. and if anything they have the answer for the high priced heads. I'd rather buy a 1200$ pair of heads that produce 10rwhp less than a 2200 pair of heads

I'd have to go with the FM13, everything I hear/read about this cam is good!!! I'd get it on a 112 though.

I want a little smoother idle so going to stick with the 114* (I know it has a lot to do with the tune).

I just bought one, but won't be installing it for a few weeks with some Patriot stage 2 LS6 style heads. As soon as it's in I'll post up. Oh yeah, as a side note, the cam is ground by Howard's who's been around forever. Here's a shot of the cam card.

What lobes are these cams using? They seem pretty mild, which is good for me since I have a daily. And the springs should last. They sell dual springs with their heads, but wouldn't beehive springs be enough? Less valvetrain mass.

Did the Feb issue just come out? I know they like to release mags a month or two before the actual month. Makes no sense to me.
