So I've called around a few places. I can get 55 gallon drums of methanol here in Bellingham or from Nelson Petroleum in Mt. Vernon, but I haven't found a place to get it by the gallon. Anybody know where they sell it by the gallon (or anybody have a 55gal drum )? Thanks.

Buy the -20F windshield washer fluid if you are going to use it for injection. It's already over 50-50% methanol and it's cheap.

I just looked at the MSDS on the Prestone brand of de-icer and it's 70-80% methanol, so maybe I'll just get some of that and add some water.

You could probably run WW fluid, but be careful of whats in them besides meth and water. This is not a good plan! You can get meth from speed shops. I got some at Honest Performance in Federal Way, filled into my container for 4.79 a gallon. George at TTi told me he can get it shipped at possibly a better price, but I haven't run out of my 5 gallon jug yet.

Nelson also sells it in 5 gal pails. And Jim Greens in Lynwood sells it in any quantity....bring your bucket. I have 2 gal sitting here if you need it Eric. I also have 4 gal of the Snow 50-50 mix that I will sell you cheap.

Thanks Mark. I'll probably stop by Jim Green's on Monday for a couple gallons since it's only a half mile away from me at the moment! Until then I'll try out this windsheild wiper fluid. I really want my knock light to stop blinking whenever I start to have fun

Alright. I run straight meth for the added power, but 50-50 stops the knock. And you coulda had this case REAL cheap.....wink wink

I got to try out my setup today, I'm just running some -30 below windsheild de-icer (until Mark gets back), and my knock light does not come on at all anymore. This weekend is MS then tuning + booooost!
