Anyone have advice on the easiest way to do this on a SS? I want to remove the rear isolator.

The stock shocks dropped low enough on my car that i could actually just raise the back end of the car, let the axle drop all the way down, and squeeze the coils on the springs enough to pull them out.
The Koni's I have now do not drop down as far, so I have to undo the shock bolts.

I remembering swapping out my LT1 springs the same way you did, but my SS isn't dropping low enough. I will let the bottom of the shocks out of the mounts to get more clearance. I am going to do it tuesday morning at work.

We just did my 98 z28 today to swap springs, put the car on a lift and unbolted the shock at the bottom and the rear end hang. Took about 10 minutes thanks to my friends that did the work.

Yeah, I was thinking the shocks should be unbolted to get more clearance.
