Default Pics of my PCV mod + engine pics

After I installed my new motor and did my break in on it, I pulled my intake and valve cover to re-torque my ARP head studs, well every intake port on the heads were cover with oil. I was running the stock PCV there was tons of oil in there from just light driving and idling, I didn't even go over 3k rpm.

Anyway I got pissed and decided to try a new approach to solving oil blow by. I did the expensive PCV mod by using steel braided hose and 6-an fittings. I'm running lines from both valve cover to a y-fitting which runs to the front and into a oil air seperator, then to the pcv valve, then to the intake.

I've tried this setup with the pcv valve before the oil air catch as well as after as shown below. I seem to get better vacuum and with the pcv valve in its stock location.

Anyway here are the pics.. I spent about $75 on all the lines, 6-an fittings and oil air seperator etc.

So far it is working perfect, I empty out a little pool of oily stuff once a week by simply turning the drain ****. And I pulled my intake and the intake ports were nice and dry.

So far so good!

Oh yea PS..

Looks great. Where did you buy the hose and fittings? What fitting did you use on the TB?

You can't be getting any vacum with that Metco breather! You're probably also getting positive LIFT #S allowing that fresh air in through your valve cover. Try A-tapping and you'll see what I mean.

Ditto what StevieZ said.
With that Breather on the passenger side valve cover; you have opened the system to atmosphere.
The vacumn or lack of in your motor is screwed up.

Would you please list the parts you used? I am developing a similar problem after I installed a 224 cam and if your solution works, I would like to try it. Thanks.
