Default questions about to many miles.

ive got a 2000 TA and the motor stated knocking and am looking for a replacement motor, well I found a lq4 motor out of a 2004 chevy truck, they want 1500 for the complete motor. its got 67000 miles on it, my question is that to many miles on the motor to go back in my car and perform for a long time, and is that to many miles to put a heads and cam package on it without doing anything to the bottom end. im looking to go with a 228/230 cam and still indecided on the heads. what would you go with.

you are thinking about an lq4? is that the 6.0 liter 370 inch motor? because i thought the lq9 was the 6.0 and the lq4 was a 5.3..I dont see why it would be to many miles considering that most people have more miles then that and put h/c on their cars, even mine has more then that and im about to put h/c on mine. Did you ever find out what your problem was?

im not really worried about the added weight its about 90 pounds more than the ls1 so it will lower the front of the car a lil more aint do big deal.
