Default MAF Location ??????

I am transplanting a 5.3 from a 2003 Yukon and I need to know where the best place would be to install the maf.

I was thinking about the inner fender and install a K&N filter directly to the maf ??? or I could install it close to the radiator if needed. This is the only location I can think of. Does anybody have any suggestions??
Thanks

You want a striaght piece of intake tract prior to the MAF, to avoid inconsistent airflow readings. Having said that, I would go with the inner fender, but the filter mounted at least 6" ahead of it.

not true, my filter is basically attached to my MAF,same as all trucks, but inner fender is prob. where the harness connector is located in that area
