I've seen much much larger cams pass with an e-test tune (there are all kinds of tricks you can play with the tune to pass an e-test).
It also depends on how good your cats are. I've seen some disappointing results from the little pup cats that come on some of the aftermarket y-pipes.

I wish I didn't have to pass it... on my 3rd try today.. HCC on the idle test is still failing... driving test is finally okay thanks to a lean tune... Argh... Idle is set to 1150...

Perhaps Wade or Arun could tune it for you to pass. I know Pete K (when Autoworx was around) focused on my cars total tune meaning idle, half throttle and WOT and end result it passed smog. What the specs on the Cartek 2X cam?

Mine Just Failed today, Cams a Comp 224/228/537./537./112 Car also has Lt's with cats and its untuned. I think that my problem! It passed the idle no problem but the Driving part it did not pass, it was close but not enough.
