Default Edelbrock's new two piece timing cover

Part #4254. I wonder how much it is? QTP has had one for a while, just pricey IMO.

I just saw it in GMHTP. Here's the best part, it doesn't even come up on Edelbrock's website!

The edelbrock cover doesnt "look as sexy" as the QTP piece, but I am sure it works just as well.

I saw the cover at PRI and it looks pretty sweet. I am also curious what the price is and when it will be available. Edlebrock seems to be putting some time into creating new additions for the LS1. Here are two pictures I took of the LS1 motor they had on display.

I spent about an hour searching for a price yesterday morning after seeing the ad in GMHTP as well. I also came up with nothing, so I'm subscribing in case someone can answer.

Your photo's also look like the motor has their new water pump on it, did you see any information on that at PRI?

Byunspeed has them listed on their web site, but no prices as of yet so likely Edelbrock hasn't released them yet. I would like to find out the release date of the water pump and the price as well to see if it is going to be available when I do my motor in the spring.

I saw this also in GMHTP, so I called edelbrock, they said that it is still being developed and the reason the ads are out is because they wanted it out before SEMA. They also said that both the waterpump and cover should be out by late febuary. No pricing at this time.

I spoke to Edelbrock today as well (tough to get through) and they told me the next couple of months for both. I'm thinking mid-March we may start seeing them with the vendors.

Unfortunately I did not think to question them on the items on the motor. I had just figured I had not looked at Edlebrocks stuff for a while and they were in the catalog. I thought that front cover would be pretty sweet for making swapping cams easier and did not really think about it again untill I saw the pic in GM High Tech. I wish that thing was available now before I put my motor back together.

If you look closer they have made the valley pan, the throttle body, and obviously those Big block look a like valve cover, cover. The more I look at it the more things I notice. It should be a taste of what is coming up this year.

I didn't realize I had to download the new 08 catalog. It's in there. Too bad there's no pricing.

Nice piece - I'm already having a front cover modified to work in the same manner. $25 for the machine work on the front cover, $30 for constructing the anodized front cover from my material (custom engraving included).

$55 - that's a hell of alot better than the $400+ people are charging now - I guess they never wanted to sell any at that price...
