Are chennille wash mits that bad to use?

Are chennille wash mits that bad to use? I've been looking for a new wash mit and all I can find is chennille. I've been all over and can't find cotton anywhere. How bad are they compared to cotton?

) stuff in the house, and yes its soft, but i dont know how well i would trust it on my car, especially my black car.
