What Went Wrong???? HELP
hey guys over the weekend a few buddys and I installed my H/C package i got TSP's MS4 and LS6 Stg 1's with the gasket kit and what not in my 2002 camaro. Everything was all installed last night and we were just about to start it so we started adding coolant in the rad. when on about the second jug of coolant we started hearing coolant leaking. The pass. side head was leaking coolant from the rear of the head. It was pouring out not just dripping. What happened?? we went step by step from LS1HowTo. any thoughts?? i need help please, by the way we used gm head bolts and the gaskets i got from tsp were a carbon fiberish gasket and the ones i took off were a steel type, does this matter?? thanks guys

did you take the bolt out of the old head and put it into the hole in the new head? on the driver side it is where the temp sensor screws into, pass side, it's towards the back. most people forget and find out when they fill the car with coolant...it POURS out the back of the pass head.

Sounds like you didnt swap the coolant plug on the passenger side head. No big deal It is just really hard to get to now that is all back together.
The coolant plug is directly behind the Exhaust manifolds last bolt (firewall side) on the passenger side , and right in front of the first manifold bolt on the drivers side (coolant temp sensor goes there)
I suggest taking off the passenger side valve cover to get acces to the plug.
The plug should still be in your old head It takes a 6mm or 8mm allen wrench to remove.
