Exclamation Magnaflow Problems

I purchased my magnaflow catback from Thunder Racing some back last summer. Now both hangers on the passenger side has broken off(the welds let go). Who should i contact to get this fixed TR or magnaflow? Should I even bother deal with them or just have someone weld it?

dude just get someone to weld it for you instead of shipping it back to magnaflow, being without a catback for god knows how long for 2 broken welds which take 10 seconds to fix. Just weld it up yourself or get someone to do it for you.

But make sure they use stainless wire. Most shops can mig weld it up for you, but if they dont use a stainless wire... it will rust out. Dont they have a Million mile warrenty or some ****? Cause, if your not driving the car, I would try and get it replaced.

i could just send them the tip and still drive the car, but I bet its gonna cost more to ship then to weld

Magnaflow makes you go back to the company you bought it from..and will not deal direct with customers...at least that is our experiance.

Similar thing happened to me with a Flowmaster tailpipe. 'Cept on mine, instead of the weld busting, looks like the weld rusted through in 2 years. The replacement pipe had a nice CLAMP ON hanger. Reading between the lines, looks like the weld messes up the aluminizing, causing it to rust like crazy in that spot.

Both are prety reputable companies. I'd call Magnaflow first then Thunder Racing. I've never heard of that happening. My Magnaflow cat-back was the firts thing I did.
