so i searched this topic before i posted but there are no new discussions i was wondering about the ac delete i hear you gain no hp but loose weight i was wondering what all you need in order to delete the ac?

If you're just pulling the AC I don't think there is anything you need, (i also removed the heat when I did it). Just get in there and start pulling it. Make sure you relieve the pressure before you pull the lines.

The only thing you need to order is the a/c delete panel to cover the hole in your fore wall. Your right you don't gain hp but you drop something like 41 pounds.

Yep, if you just pull the AC parts and keep the heater hoses running from the water pump to the heater box the heat will work fine. Removing the heat is pita, AC is a piece of cake...

to keep the heat and remove the ac i just need to pull the ac stuff and get a block off plate like the BMR ac delete plate?

Yea... I just used a grinder and and cut all the platic crap off along the fire wall. I made my own plate and scrwed it to the firewall then sealed it up. I still have heat.

waterbug, did you have to take the evaporator out from under the dash or under the hood? so you just cut the box and pulled it out that way? never thought about that, the only thing i got left is the evaporator.

But, I do know that all was done from under the hood.

interesting.. What is in that plastic box anyhow? I may have to do the same as I have all the rest of my AC components long gone but I still have to have heat. I like that being totally open on the pass side without that plastic box there.

Whats inside the back box is the AC condensor I believe is what you call it. I have a pic somehwere of me tearing it out.. Ill try and find it.

Its pretty easy.. I still got heat. Just dont cut the little vacum line, thats what controls the ability to go from vents to floor, etc..

so how did you get the plastic box off the fire wall i was lookin at mine today and it looks impossible how is it attached?

I just cut that bitch off flush with the firewall... There are some tab lookin things around the edge, I cut them off as well to make the cover piece fit flush.
