Default 6.0 and 5.7 Oil pan Interchangable????

Are these 2 oil pans interchangeable??? I want to get an oil pan off a GTO with the 6.0. Will it bolt right up to my Ls6 block?

No. The GTO pan is a front-sump pan, whereas the F-body requires a rear sump. You'll want the pan from an F-Body LS1.

The way I understand it, basically, is that the oil pan with pickup tube is vehicle-specific. There are (4) types for: F-body, Corvette, GTO and truck/SUV's. I believe that all LS-type blocks through 2006 have identical oil pan mounting dimensions and gaskets, except for the LS7. HTH
