what is the deck height on a 408/?

Default what is the deck height on a 408/?

does anyone know what the deck height on a 408 is?

I believe the deck height of all LS motors is the same. 408's have a much higher piston pin to accomodate the difference in stroke length. Can't remember the deck height of an LSx crank centerline to top of deck, its a fairly available number though.

The deck height can change from build to build. Alot of this will depend on the piston specifications and the specifications for the build. Usually whoever builds the engine should have that on file. We stamp the deck height on every block we machine.

Standard is 9.24" on an LQ9/4 iron block. But again, check with your speed shop or machine shop to see if the block has been decked any more to be sure!
