Hello,

I am exploring the idea of using my current LT1 T56 Tranny and want to mate
it to a LS1. Do you know what is involved in doing this, and if a local
tranny shop could handle the job?

I am located near Orlando Florida and am wondering if there is anyone out there could point me to a shop that they have used before in my area, and the costs and parts that would be associated with doing this.

In addition is there any negatives to "reworking" the LT1 T-56 as far as
strength or performance that I should know about?

Wouldn't it be cheaper to sell the Lt1 trans and buy a LS1 T56?
