Stereo & Electronics - Modified dash for in dash dvd

i was just wondering if anyone knew where i might find a bezel to put an in dash dvd in the car and im not talkin about putting a flip up screen

you have to fabricate your own, no one has made one that i know of.

damn im not good at that kind of stuff looks like ill have to pay someone to make it

It's somewhat expensive but it's the only one commercially available that I know of. Also, check with phantomzer0 on this board. He made a really nice one for himself and was talking about producing them in quantity. I don't know how far along he is with that.

Trans Ams are a little more difficult to do since they are actually a bit smaller but I have seen a few that were done very nicely!

yea i dont think i have ever seen a TA done Car Toys said they could do it for like $500 but i dont know if i want to trust that kind of work to them

Im going to start modifying my dash for an 8" touch screen, you will pretty much need to remove/move the a/c controls to get a good sized touch screen to fit.

How do you get past the depth issue? I just sold my eclipse double din cause there was not enough depth even with cuttin the mounts out.

My Avic-D3 sits perfectly flush. I didn't have to hack anything apart. I think the Avic is the safest bet for guys wanting to do a double din in a Camaro.

a few years back i came across this on cardomain. i really love this look and would love to do it, but i dont like the ac controls in the glove box. i dont know where else they'd go.

Yeah you could. The only bad part was that the rear view mirror was useless. I still have the T.V. monitor(4x6) and have been trying to sell it...................

yea that would be cool but i dont want any thing like that in this car
