Default clutch to handle 450rwhp + occassional N2O

Title says it all. Tranny is pulled, and will be rebuilt this week. H/C package is being installed, and will probably go w/ a 100-150 shot this summer. I need to know what clutch will handle 450rwhp + occasional N20, but still be acceptable for a DD. Was gonna go w/ Ls7 clutch, but heard it might not hold up.

LS7 will hold ok if you dont get too crazy with the nitrous. A single disk tex or something like a spec 3+ will also be able to easily hold that power.

I'm making over 500rwhp NA and the Spec 3+ in my car is holding up so far. Drivability is ok, but the clutch pedal is much stiffer than my buddies stock clutch. I still haven't taken it to the dragstrip so only time will tell.

OZ700 can't be beat i love mine, i'm right at 450rwhp with the new heads (waiting for tune). the clutch has VERY stock-like pressure, it's a breeze to drive, it just engages a *little* quicker. mine has propelled my car to low 1.5x 60' times and begs for more

and i've heard reports of guys with h/c combos slipping them after some abuse.

why buy one that just barely makes the hp requierments?

do it right the first time

spec 3+....or maybe the 4 but that's not as nice on the street

have no experience with the Textralia clutches

A LS7 cannot handle HIGH hp apps and survive high clutch launches like this clutch, they have had that issue plus some have had low engagement issues w/ or w/o shim, even though no shim is needed.

500 is a FLywheel rating, some of these cars easily exceed that minimum, after that its a crap shoot.
