Most people now get the LMII. It is still a pretty loud exhaust...but it sounds good with headers and flows good. The LMI is a steel can with no real quieting properties to it. The LMII muffler used in the LMII kit a straight through bullet muffler. SLP developed the LMII because the LMI was so loud it was illegal in some areas and too loud for some tracks.

We have an awesome deal on all the SLP LM's here-

Ya what he said. The lm1 is redicalous loud. I know I have it on my car with the slp lts' and slp y-pipe with no cats. I like how it sounds but, some people cant stand how loud it is.

If you plan on headers and ORY pipe later on down the road, you may want to hear a LM first to see if you'll like it. I had LM1 for about a year and then got PS LT's and ORY and it is LOUD. As in rattle the house on cold starts loud. Just something to think about. Cheaper to buy a different system now as opposed to replacing the LM later. I've never heard the setup on a LM2, so can't comment on that one with LTs.

LM1, longtubes and ory here as well. Its not so much that its too loud, its the quality of the sound that sucks. It great at idle or wide open, everything in between is obnoxious. I have heard that running a catted y makes a big difference though. Besides these drawbacks the LM is an awesome exhaust. Its stainless, lighter than the factory set up and looks great.

The LM1 sounds best with stock manifolds, but if you are getting LT's in the future I would go Magnaflow of Hooker.

i have the lm1s with lts and custom 3inch duals and love it, it is very loud. probably the loudest fbody around this area. i have personally herd the lm2 on another fbody with headers, and in my opnion it sounds like hammerd dog ***. if u like the sound water gurguling frm a boat then it ok i guess.

I have LM1 on my car(rest of exhaust stock). Sounds great, but if you're going to put headers, Y-Pipe etc. later, LM1 will be obscenely loud. Also alot of drone.

I have the LM1 with QTP LTs and Catted Y, it sounds good enough for me, but i can tell I would not like it w/o cats.

im not a fan of either with headers and ORY. If your going headers and ORY, then I would suggest magnaflow. But if your keeping the stock manifolds, and catted y, then LM1 sounds pretty good.

The LM2 sounds great with stock manis and cats. It is really deep and gets fairly loud when you get on it. I prefer the sound of the LM2 over the LM1 on ANY setup.
