Default Gauges Mounted in air ducts

hey there just wondering how you all mount your gauges in the air ducts and what size gauges do you use?

not sure how they are mounted, but I know the T/As use a 2-5/8th autometer gauge.

i figured it was a bigger one i just need to figure out how they mount them up sterdy

The 2-5/8" gages fit snugly in the opening after removing the vent louver assembly without any other attachment method.

You can use 2-1/16" gages if you also use a spacer ring. Can be made from plastic (member Bear can make them for you) or one of the sponsors just came out with a billet aluminum spacer in black or natural to fit 2-1/16" gages in the openings.

I think it's Speed Inc. who just came out with a spacer ring.

nice you remove the ducting just for selective holes or do you have to take it all out

I got the 2-5/8 in mine they fit perfect,and yes it was Speed Inc. who cam out with them.

i used the 2 1/16 cobalts, i used the autometer angled rings to angle the gauges more to me and then used some thick cardboard cut a little over sized of the whole. Glued the rings to the cardboard and then just stuck them in the vents. No problems with them coming out in 2 years.



you can see the ring and the cardboard that its glued too.
