ideas for a cam for my 408
iron block .030 over diamond flat top pistons with l92 valve reliefs, stock l92 heads, just cleaned up and polished the castings.
was wonderig a cam recomendation for a street car with a power range to 6200
if i ever take it to the track it'd be maybe 1-3 times a year, but its mainly a street car to have fun,
would like to make 500whp if i could threw my t56 and stock rear.
and suggestions there was a thread i was following but can't find it

We've done a lot of dyno testing with the l92 stuff & camshaft design plays a very important part when going for big power out of a l92 head. We've tested dozens of camshafts on the engine & chassis dyno in the last few month..
I just had a new 248/256 camshaft cut on a 114+3 that has shown some pretty good promise for power & driveability. I'll let you know the complete specs on it in a few minutes, but it was designed to make big power & work really well with PRC valve springs!
If you want one of these cams give me a call, I should have 1 or 2 spare..
You might also consider a little bit of head work if your looking for more power down the road, our cnc work on the l92 heads added 22rwhp over the stock l92 head & really doesn't cost that much more than the stock heads! We sell the cnc ported & assembled heads for $1099 & the stock unported gm head sells for just under $800... For the extra $300 bux you could gain 20+hp! That's pretty hard to beat!
