I would not buy anything from BoostJunkie (Simpson Peformance). I've already dealt with him and he's not trustworthy. Five weeks of leaving a car there to get tuned with nothing to show for it but a damp smelling interior and and water spots on a black hood. Here's how his invoices look like for services he couldn't render. He couldn't tune the car so he tries to scam me into paying this. Here's what his invoice looks like, very professional in MS Word from Simpson Performance, eh? FLT did the tune from scratch and finished it.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with him. Communication could have been a little better but the piece was great and sold at a good price.

There is way more to it than anyone knows. Two flight changes at the last minute to give him more time, and then being told when landing in Illinois that the car can't be tuned and he's given up is weak communication and to ask me to pay for a EFI license, LOL.

Wow that sucks. I would have been even more leary had I seen these responses before I got my TB. For a while there it looked like he was selling the same thing to more than one person. I did not know he ownded a business in this industry.

What is he going to do. Deny everything? Another vendor here on the board knows the whole story too. He kinda got screwed too since he is the one that recommended this guy.

Packing and shipping a TB is different than spending $1300 on hotels and flight tickets, 70 mile one way cab fares, your car left in the humid sun after it sprinkles rain on a black painted car with two quarter panel dents he puts in and tries to charge you for, along with a damp interior because the passenger side window is left open for 4-5 weeks.

Please, hope he comes in and defends himself.

Well all i got to say is that ive bought $800 worth of items from him and always recieved them in less than 3 days.

Like I said, packing a couple TBs and shipping them is different than taking care of someone's car for 4-5 weeks and letting it get dumped on. Leave your car with him and ask him to tune it, LOL.

If your items that you bought from this guy goes bad, you think he's gonna help you? Those NW TB blades start to stick, he'll tell you to jump in a river and call NW himself and you'll be changing your posts here. I hope that doesn't happen since no one deserves that kind of a bad deal.

byunspeed I also heard a story about it and from the sounds of it you are the stroke. Besides that what are you some kind of internet warrior that talks mad shit except for in person. Why don't you keep it to yourself or to PM's instead of looking like an ASS. They tuned my car and it was great and would run circles around any junk you will ever put together. I've never had a problem besides getting my car in there when your junk was there taking up time and space when they could've got real cars in there. Did you forget about you sending your parts to him that took weeks instead of just him putting the same stuff on but you would rather make him wait for your junk then just put his parts on? And as far as court dates go why don't you keep your mind out of other peoples business before one day it turns around and BITES you in the ASS.
Just remember there are 2 sides to every story and I heard his side and that's what I believe since I was there when you called several times, He never did anyone that I know wrong and any minor problems were fixed right away.
So for anyone looking to buy anything off of this member don't mind what byunspeed has to say he doesn't screw people like he says and as for byunspeed quit being a internet warrior and man up and call and square up like a man instead of sitting behind a keyboard talking shit about people

If his 'bill' I've scanned and posted is legit then why hasn't he demanded payment? He knows I'm on here, why hasn't he posted about it? That is a lot of money to let go. You're right. This has come to bite him in the ASS. I fix things to the best of my ability if I can. There are some things I do make a mistake on and haven't fixed and people will let me know about it and I'll do what I can. This guy Corey doesn't realize THIS hassle cost me more than just plane tickets and hotels and cab fares. A LOT MORE that I don't need to mention about.

Why not give it to me while the HOUR AND HALF I WAS THERE AT HIS PLACE WAITING FOR THE TOW TRUCK, WHY NOT DISCUSS THAT HE WAS GOING TO GIVE ME A BILL DURING THAT TIME? Mike, his previous business partner that owned that dyno, www.DynoTuneMP.com, even pulled me to the side and said it was "BS the way he is treating you". Hey I'm sure Nathan @ Nasty Performance would agree too considering he was going "WTF".

You guys need tuning, give FLT or Speed Inc a call. They don't walk around strutting their chest out talking smack in public about their competitors, they just do their job. FLT took care of everything for me. Dan and Mitch are great guys along with the rest of the crew.

You are truly misinformed. Whatever deal HIM and NATE made was their DEAL. I was NATE'S CUSTOMER. THAT WAS NATE'S DEAL TO USE HIS 'SHOP'. HIM AND NATE worked their deal out. So get your facts straight. I didn't come in there for a free ride. The three invoices I have here from NATE shows that. :)

So all in all you're also tellling everyone that he supplied some parts and I took forever to replace them. First of all, let me inform you. He gave me a used oil pan and used timing gear sprocket. I replaced them with BRAND NEW GM PARTS and he knows they had to be ordered in. They did not take forever. I have the receipts and the tracking number to show the timeframe of 'how it took forever'.

You're saying after 4-5 weeks of a car untuned running like garbage, me having to call for updates to see if it okay to fly out and pick up the car, having to change my flight plan the day before since he won't call back, me flying the day to pick up the car and then being TOLD while landing that HE CAN'T TUNE THE CAR AFTER 4-5 WEEKS IS OKAY. Then me telling him NOT to touch the car and I would tow everything away for him. Then me getting their and HE'S IN THE CAR TUNING STILL SAYING HE NEEDS 2 MORE HOURS. So you mean from me LANDING THAT DAY AND TELLING ME HE CAN'T TUNE IT AS I LAND FROM THE AIRPORT and ME GETTING THERE THAT SAME DAY, HE NEEDED JUST 6 SIX HOURS TO TUNE THE CAR AND BE DONE WITH IT? What happened to the 4-5 weeks?

FLT took care of the situation and YOU saying the car was not done right, well all FLT did was gut the cats and tuned the thing and it was done. Thanks. I don't think Nate @ Nasty did such a horrible job of building the thing. :)

Corey knows my number, he got my last message of my distaste and he's had 7 months to reply back and he hasn't. He is more than welcome to call me and explain to me why he did what he did. I'm more than welcome with open ears. :)

When I first saw all this I thought it must be a different person. Not sure if you are reading the thread correctly. Corey was given a brand new oil pan and new timing set for used pieces he supplied that he had on hand. I had no problem with that and neither did he so I am not sure why you are bringing that up.
Corey stated HP and EFI are the same, he could use either one. No one held a knife to his throat and said he had to use this or that. Again that was his choice. He wasn't forced into anything.
Again, I was Nate's customer, so why was I given a bogus bill for work he didn't do and damage to the car that was repaired (dents) he put in? He was being paid to tune the car, 4-5 weeks later no results but a bogus bill in my opinion.

Ya know, 99% of the people on this forum were not there either. But that doesn't seem to matter in your case. Anyway you've probably already achieved everything you wanted to do by ruining Corey's rep. For those who have never dealt with him anyway. Just like any business, Corey had a schedule to keep. When parts don't arive on time or when they were promised (by you), he is going to move on to another customers vehicle and stick to schedule. You are not the only one who has a car in this world. Also, when you live in Colorodo and you take your car to the midwest to have work done, you can always expect problems. No body made you get a cab and a tow truck. You pulled your car off of his dyno while he was tuning it. He told you to stay one more day in Colorado. All those were your decisions.

He was told to NOT touch the car anymore and it was going to be towed AFTER 4-5 weeks of the car sitting. He was sitting in the car AGAIN trying to tune the car.

What parts was he waiting for? Again, READ. He was to TUNE THE CAR ONLY, which he had 4-5 weeks to do.

First he was bashing SD saying that those lifters were fakes and they just repackage them as GM parts (and that was the reason why they came in plain white boxes). I had a set of lifters going in the motor and one was bad. It had nothing to do with Corey but he still gave his input anyways.

Secondly, he didn't BUY lifters from me, it was his 'customer' who gave me a ride back to my temp place since MY car wasn't being tuned and just sat there the whole day, AGAIN. He basically told that guy if he didn't like his tuning prices, he could pack his stuff up and take it to Speed Inc and get ripped off there. I could say it word for word but it is a little harsher the way he said it. He sat there the WHOLE day arguing with this guy to TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT. Then he flashed all the 100s out of his pocket (since he doesn't accept CC's or checks) to let him know his business wasn't needed.

All I'll say is that I remember when Byun was in the the area for ages, and I was wondering what they were doing over there. Speed Inc. could have knocked that car in two days. :)
