Default Virginia's Next Big law coming down affecting vehicles...

Va. legislator testy over 'Truck Nutz'

RICHMOND, Va., Jan. 16 (UPI) -- A Virginia state legislator says ornamental plastic and chrome ********* hanging from trucks are offensive, and he wants them banned.

The ornaments are called "Truck Nutz." Solid plastic versions in various colors are sold on the Internet for $15.00, while the chrome model markets for $39.99, The Fredericksburg (Va.) Freelance Star reported.

Democrat Lionel Spruill said he sponsored the bill to ban the decorations after a constituent called to complain his 6-year-old granddaughter had spotted a pair on a truck and asked what they were.

"I said, 'Sir, I'm going to be a laughingstock, but I'm going to do it,'" Spruill said.

Spruill's bill would make the display of the accessories a misdemeanor carrying a $250 fine, the newspaper said.

all I can say this guy must have nothing public-service-wise to do passing bills this moronic and time-wasted

Now besides the $1000 felony for not using a blinker, now you get tacked on a $250 fine for this display

I see a ******* hanging from the bumper of his car in the capital parking lot soon. One of his "constituents" should do that for him.

exactly.. Try explaining it to a 3yr old when he keeps asking why for 25 minutes..

I thought the same thing years ago, now being a parent I feel differently.

i think they are dumb but just say "i don't know" to your youngsters. my parents used to say that to me when i was little and they didnt want to explain the stuff to me. seems people should be worring about more important issues than this.

Glad to see there are NO other problems in VA that they can now start worrying about the little things

For those worried about the kids seeing them......get over it. You could make up what ever you want and they will believe you and if they are old enough to know what they are then you're too late anyways. People need to lighten up.

I'd like to get a set, find this legislators vehicle and put it on his car while he's in his office

There are so many edgy images and bits of media in our society that explaining a pair of fake plastic nuts to a young child seems the least of one's worries as a parent.

Do not vote this guy back into office. If a good majority of the general public was informed on voting and the candidates, I submit that the country would be a lot of different - for the better.

1 did anyone stop to think by the time the kids are old enough/big enough to sit in the front seat (where theyd be able to see them) they should be old enough to know what they are anyway i know in my state they gotta be like 8, and trust me...most kids know by then

2 glad the rape/murder/robbery/stalking/assault/home invasion/child molestation/animal cruelty/ drunk driving/ illegal street race/ UNINSURED MOTORIST rates are all down to 0 and virginia can finally tackle the massive public hazard that are truck nutz. I saw them one time, and it drove me into a rage that caused me to kill my family, and rape my dog...huge hazard those truck nutz....

i mean really way to go virginia state legislature we should take it from you.

( someone should just get like 50 of these things and a figure out how to fasten em all over the place on his car, double points if you can get a set hangin out from under his desk...that would just be amazin)
