Generation IV Internal Engine - 28 Psi? on LS2?

Car is my dads 05-06 C6 with 21k on the clock been running mobile in her since we got it new... oil pressure warm is running at about 28-30.. alittle worried.. although off idle at about 1,100 to 1,500 its up at 36-38 and I really havnt looked going WOT

That seems REALLY high, especially for an LS2.

Stock LS2? What's the specs on the setup?

Sounds like he's running 5w/30 oil. Thats OK oil pressure but I'd switch to 10w/40 synthetic.

Sounds perfectly normal to me. I run Amsoil 5/30 and get about 30 at idle and high 50's at high rpm with my LS2. I can break out my GTO manual and quote you the spec, but hot at idle the min pressure is something like 15 psi.

ya we are I believe I think we got some mobile 1 10/30 or 10/40 at our shop the car needs a oil change anyways will probably do it next week and see what it does
