Poss time to swap cams, need a recomendation
I currently and running a custom cam i got for free. I had it on a cam doctor and it speced out as 223.5/223.5, 115.5 lsa .566 lift. With Absolute speed ported stock heads, SLP headers, LS6 intake.
It dynoed at 401.52 hp and 359.93 tq thru a 12bolt with 4.10 gears. I also sprayed it with a 75 hp TNT kit and got 480hp 428 tq.
The car is used for autoxing, crusing and a few runs at the strip. its best time NA in in my sig.
I was thinking that a cam swap would boost the car a bit , esp in the tq area. A larger tq curve, keeping it as flat as poss would help the autox times and strip #s
What cam would work well in this setting?
Also the SLP headers are being replaced with kooks and the car is tuned

228r would make a nice cam....
but what are the specs on the heads. if you have some hogged out big runner heads that explains the low torque numbbers. may be better off getting some AFR 205s or some terminator 200s to boost low and mid range power.

anyone else have any ideas?
I have been looking at swaping my AS ls1 heads for some patriot ones. They recomended the LS6 heads over the 5.3's.
I just checked my cam doctor stats on the current cam it is a 223/223 at .50 280/280 at .06 dur, 115.5 lsa and a .556 lift, installed dot to dot.
I am looking to boost the torque, but keep the curve flat as poss as i use the car for autocross a lot
dyno # in sig were thru a 3.23 10 bolt
