Default ls6 INTAKE HP

how much hp will i get off of an ls6 intake. i had someone tell me that you can get around 100 hp off of it and i think hes wrong. can anyone help me

no not 100 closer to 1000000 I think.
15 to 20 or so.

If you can make 100 hp off a 300-400 dollar upgrade sign me up. I heard that it was about 15 hp.

me too thats why it didnt sound right
it wasnt me that said this my friend is very believeable but this just didnt sound right to me that is why im asking.

5-8 if you have simple bolt-on's cam and/or lt's 10-15 with a good tune

my numbers in my sig are pre LS6 and the new numbers are after install

I'd believe 10-15 HP, and about the same in torque. My dyno went up from 298HP to 306HP and 315ft/lb to 325ft/lb but at the same time I went with a heavier LS7 clutch which lost me some torque and HP.

In a nutshell, it's worth it. The gains will be higher if you factor in cam/headers/heads etc over a LS1.

Its only good for 10hp from 5k to 6k rpms from the regular ls1 intake.

Id recommend a tune with an LS6 intake. When i went for a retune for mine, it had leaned it out significantly.

your friend doesnt know anything about LS1, dont ever let him touch your car.

As a good rule of thumb of MOST LS1's, the only ways to get 100 rwhp with one mod are nitrous, turbo or a supercharger. A cyclone, turbonator or strategically placed racing stickers will also net just short of 100 (HAHA!).

In all seriousness, you should see around 10 - 15 rwhp from swapping to the LS6 intake and the bulk of the gains are going to be up higher in the powerband.

I picked up about 9-10 with the LS6 with 224/228 cam and all bolt on's with 4.10 gears and a tune. It will be my next mod on this one too.

Your friend also might want to check out ebay for some electric superchargers. I hear they're worth 500-600 hp.

For the money their worth it IMO, but 1200 for a 90/90 is hard to swallow unless your looking for every horse.

my bad he said that hes getting heads off a corvette along with the intake and it will bump him from 305 to 410 but that still doesnt sound right
