what heads come stock on a LQ4

317s come stock on the LQ4. 862s are on the 5.3s. Although I've read where some of the newer ones are coming with the 243s. I think they were surplus and they just threw them on some the 5.3s or something like that. Not 100% sure on that.

what about the lq9 what vehicles and yr models did it come in and what heads are on it im just trying to get a quick refrence so when i go to the junkyard this weekend

706 on my 5.3 also on 2 of my buddies trucks also. Mine is a 2000 5.3 silverado, one is a 2000 4.8 GMC and the other is a 2001 4.8 silverado... All are extended cab 2wd 1500 models if it makes a diffrence. The GMC came from another state. The other 2 silverados were sold in California.
I Have seen the 862 casting on a few motors but I am not sure if it has to do with the plant that it came out of or what.... Just from what I have physically seen 706 seem to be more common on 4.8/5.3 motors. Hope it shines some light on the subject.
