Have you considered the PRC Stage 2.5 5.3L heads? They flow right in line with those heads across the lift range! Also, fully assembled with the PRC dual spring kit good to .650" lift, 2.02"/1.57" stainless valves they are only $1209!!! With the 5.3L head's smaller chamber, your compression will be bumped up to about 10.75:1 like their LS6 "style" head on a stock LS1 short-block.
