Default 96 Z28 project car questions

I currently am looking for a 96 or so Z28 project car. I plan on taking the motor out and would like to replace it with an LS2 with a m6. I was just wondering if anyone has done it and if so how much work was involved. What do you have to do to take the LT1 out and swap it over to an LSx motor. I would like to go all out on the car over the next year interior exterior and motor.

If you havent bought a car yet, I'd look for 98 or 99- maybe a roller with the wiring still intact. Or maybe a high mile car. It will save a ton of time, money, and parts hunting since it is already an lsx based car. Then you can just drop the LS2 in with only a few wiring changes. I think now they make a harness for the differences in sensors & reluctor wheel etc. Im sure others will offer more info, but this is just the way i see it.

Default 94 Camaro

I just bought a 94 camaro and it is awesome! Nothin has ever been done to the motor yet it goes 0 to 60 in like a second! Its a great drag racing car. If you are looking for a good camaro I would get a 94 or 95.

LT1-era 4th gen cars (especially V6 models) are getting cheaper by the day. It would be an excellent sleeper. Go for it!
