Default How to improve better MPG?

Right now i get 13 miles to the gallon. What easy things could i do to maybe increase my mpg a few? And that's without a lead foot.

Right now i have headers, exhaust, rebuilt tranny and 3200 stall, lid, intake.

And im trying to get a cam installed so i would like to be getting better gas mileage when i get the cam.

And its my DD

Wow....

ummmm, check your tune, with those mods, you should have increased gas mileage, except for the Stall, which probably made it even.

Compare your MPG before modification of your currnet mod list.

13 doesn't sound right:

With those same mods minus the stall I was still averaging 24MPG.

When I put in the cam/stall in my sig, went down to 17 with a lead foot.

i didn't realize that the stall causes a dramatic drop in gas milage!

Wow, learn something new everyday.

how big is the cam? i would get a tune and use choco's method for seafoam. unless you just drive really rough, i dont see how everything could be right AND you get that bad of MPG's

SPLITZ you still have a 2.73 rear gear so that has to help alot even with your 3500stall. I know someone with a 3200stall its basicly the same as mine and his car has a 2.73 and I have a 3.23 and our cars are not even close off the line I pull him hard off the line and we have basicly the same mods. I just jump out alot quicker then he does and even normal driving just to keep up with traffic taking off from a light I give it a normal amount of gas and im like stuck at 3000 until I get over 30 then I can baby it to 40 and let the converter lock up

my gas mileage is pretty horrible too. Im currently getting ~200 miles per tank, which comes out to like 13mpg. I'm pretty much stock, look at my sig for what i got. I drive 75% city, 25% highway on each tank of gas. It is my DD, but the only reason why I think my mileage is horrible is because I drive short distance, and am constantly starting the engine. Any diagnosis?

Did you get your stall tuned? I got mine tuned. Drives like a stock car with normal driving. Tight around town.

I averaged like 11mpg to my last tank. All city driving. It was my worst tank in a while.

Usually I am at about 13 to 15 mpg, on a good tank.

Big cam+ lead foot = bad mpg
