If you do get the Ws-6 hood make sure you get a good quality one that can use functional scoops if u decide to. I got a fibreglass one for about $550 ish and I wish I spent the extra money.

Both are nice.....Ws-6 would be my choice...

I like the way the WS6 hood looks better but if you're one of those people who would rather have something just because it's more rare then go with the Raptor. But, as stated, make sure you get one that fits properly. I voted WS6.

I say do Ws.9, which is a Ws.6 hood with Firehawk (functional) heat extractors, the front is funcitonal too, its like new 800, i got mine for 450 used, but unpainted.

It's not listed and In my opinion the SLP Ram Air H.O hood is the best looking hood for the 98+ Trans Am, for the aftermarket hoods. For the OEM hoods go with a Firehawk or Mecham hood..

The Mecham hood can't be beat.

i think i have narrowed it down to three the slp, raptor, mecham but i really dont know yet till open for opinions

The Mecham is a really unique and eye catching hood. Otherwise I'd get a nice WS6 hood (Or WS9), not a cheapie but a good one. I like the Firehawk hood too, but just a little less than the other 2.

Just don't get one of those 4"+ vfn ws6 hoods, unless your car can walk the walk.

the raptor hood has the best lines and molds the nostril look as one without the split that the WS6 hoods do. i vote raptor.

I vote Raptor :D My buddy had a SOM Formula with a Raptor hood that looked sick :devil:

For a street car I'd go with a Mecham hood all day long, look :pimp:, ya never see them too which adds to the cool factor. Had I kept my car on the street, I was gonna get a mecham hood, just for the cool factor.

For a race car, a Joe-Van-O hood is the way to go, they fit the best and are light as a feather. Plus the 6 inch cowl ws6 hood that comes to the windshield is the only hood that has a big rise to it that doesn't look hokey. This, is what I will go with when I'm ready to pull the ws6 hood off.

I know it isn't a choice, but another for the WS-9. I would say WS-6 though, seen the raptor but don't like it as much. My .02

for your red car i would go ws6
