the Eagles and the Ravens played them just as well if not better than the giants did. Eagles lost by a field goal and the Ravens had some "questionable" calls go against them.

So you mean to tell me that the patriots didn't come to play in that game. A game which meant a perfect regular season for them. If that game didn't mean anything to them then you wouldn't of seen all of there starters (especially brady) come back to play in the second half of that game.

As for the superbowl the Giants are going to be atleast a 10 point underdog and given absolutely no chance to win. Which should put alot more pressure on the pats especially after having a perfect season up to this point.

Little Manning needs some more schoolin before he wins the big show. It will be a good game. I think it will come down to experience. Even though im a die hard Pats fan, Im glad to see a different Manning get a win. Payton needs to stop making those stupid commercials.

Tom Brady is all about wanting to be better. Even with a perfect regular season under his belt he is not happy with it. He IS the best QB ever and he is proving that. Even if the Giants pull the win.

Warm weather = domination for the Pats.

The Patriots have slowed down over the last 6 weeks... mainly because of the cold weather. When Brady and the O have warm weather (can grip the ball, catch the ball easier...) it will be all over.

I was at the Giants game and not once in the game was I worried. There is a reason the Pats are the best team in football (#1 offense in scoring with #5 defense in points against). NO team has played the full 60 minutes against the Pats to beat them. I dont expect anything different in this superbowl.

Props to the Giants for beating up on the best teams in the NFC!! They showed alot IMO, and Eli has played great. Lets remember though... they play the best team ever in this Superbowl. They have a big mountain to climb to beat the Pats... there only chance is if Brady gets hurt IMO.

As a life long Giants fan, I admit that it's going to be tough to beat the Patriots. Just like the saying goes, Offense wins games, defense wins championships and I think the Giants have the better defense going into the game.

I just heard at lunch that Tom Brady has been spotted with a cast on his foot, so who knows what that's about.

QUOTE: Ah, you know, there's always bumps and bruises. I'll be ready for the Super Bowl," Brady said Monday during his weekly radio appearance on WEEI - before the photo and video emerged - when asked if his leg was injured. "I'm not worried about that. I'm not missing this one. I'd have to be on a stretcher to miss this one. There will be treatment this week. In games like this, you get a little nicked up. It's nothing serious."

So who knows what that means. Eli is playing better, making fewer mistakes than normal, so that at least gives his team a chance to win.

My prediction, 24-27 Patriots winning.

Patriots have the better offense and defense during the regular season:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/statistics?stat=team&sort=ppg&pos=def&league=nfl&qual=true&season=2&year=2007

During the playoffs (with the Giants playing one extra game) have an edge in defensive yards allowed while the Pats gave up less points a game

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/statistics?stat=team&sort=ppg&pos=def&league=nfl&season=3&year=2007

It will come down to whether the Patriots make enough mistakes for the Giants to have a chance. If Brady throws 3 picks against the Giants... Pats will be in trouble.

Eli is playing great for him... no question. The key is nobody is getting any pressure on him.

Brady will throw 375+ yards in the superbowl... 4 TDs. It was extremely cold + windy hence the interceptions for Brady against the chargers.

I don't think the game will be a cake walk.... Giants will keep the game tight in the 1st half... then the Pats will break it open in the 2nd half. Despite the Pats history of 3 point wins in the superbowl, I predict something like 38 to 21 Pats win 4th in 7 years. Thats just my prediction.

Shipping Manager - Giants fan

Just saw my boss and shipping manager make a bet (each for their team) that whoever loses has to go out and buy the Superbowl Champs shirt for the other team and wear it at work for a week. your correct and that is why i think the pats win, Brady wont have another 3 int game, the giants D is not as talented in the secondary as San Diego. Eli is playing well but he will come back to reality when the Pats line up Super Sunday. im not a pats fan im actually a Broncos fan. we won our super bowl against the packers when we were 14 pt underdogs. yes the giants can do it, i just dont think they will.

Anything can happen for sure... but there is one major difference you arent mentioning. The Pats #4 (or #5) defensive ranking in the NFL this year and #1 in offense. The Rams were # 1 in offense, but there defense stunk. also, the Pats secondary dominated the Rams... the Giants dont have a great secondary.

The key for the giants is Plexico vs Hobbs in the secondary. Plexico got the best of Hobbs in the first meeting... hence the great day Manning had (with all day to throw).

Anything can happen... I just dont think the Giants will have enough bullets to take care of business.

Brady wearing some kind of foot cast sounds like Belicheck B.S. That's been tried before (Ask TO) Brady is probably due for a good game. NE's defense held the Chargers when they needed to inside the red zone. I think the G-men's secondary is playing great. They leave the middle of the field open too much, but they have been picking off the ball at very important moments. I think the Giants have a good shot at the upset. I am a Giant fan so maybe I'm a lttle biased.

I could actually see him limping on the field in the 4th quarter against SD. I think he is just being overly cautious by wearing the air cast for a few days... nothing to do with the coach IMO.

I'm going to guess it'll be a close game but the patriots win. My guess is the offensive play calling will be much different this game than it was against the giants at the end of the regular season. I was disappointed at the end of the patriot's regular season with the offensive play calling. I had the impression the team got a little fixated on throwing the ball deep while trying to get Brady and Moss thier records. A few of the deep throws seemed to be forced rather than being willing to take what the other team was willing to give them.

Where as in the playoffs the team has been willing to take what another team is willing to give up. Jacksonville would be a good example where they decided to take moss away and the deep ball threat away so the team was content to run and throw check down passes. The chargers again took moss away and the running game and dump passes to Faulk were available.

I'm not saying a team shouldn't try to take Moss out of the N.E. game plan but in doing so often other players or spots in the zone are left open.

Take it easy

I dunno, both teams have a big star receiver (plexico and moss). Both teams have good defense. It will be key to see who gets to the QB on defense, and who establishes the run on offense.

He did put up 35 against the Pats the first time. The Giants leave the middle open way too much. The front 4, in my opnion is better that what the Charges brought.

eli only accounted for 28 points 7 came off a kick off return. i look for an intersting 1st quarter then the wheels fall off the giants wagon. the pats will dominate the game and win by at least 21. im not a fan of either team its just how i see this game going.

21? I think the spread is only at 12 1/2 now.

it's going to be a good game I think...close.

I dunno, both teams have a big star receiver (plexico and moss). Both teams have good defense. It will be key to see who gets to the QB on defense, and who establishes the run on offense.

I predict the G-men by a field goal.

well I was close.......

Just pressure Brady, that's all they have to do to keep it close......hats go off to the Giants for playing good defense on the pass rushing!!!

they have as much chance as a fart in the wind at beating NE.

It must have smelled pretty bad at the Super Bowl last night.:jest:

As a life long Giants fan, I admit that it's going to be tough to beat the Patriots. Just like the saying goes, Offense wins games, defense wins championships and I think the Giants have the better defense going into the game.

My prediction, 24-27 Patriots winning.

Well, I was partially right. I said that the better defense was going to win the game and the Giants did that.

I kept laughing last night and all day today at Tom Brady's interview where he laughed at Plax thinking the Patriots were only going to score 17 points and he wondered if Plax was planning to play defense.

Well guess what, the Giants defense shined and shut down Tom. He was sacked five times and hit/hurried countless more.

It was the most amazing game I have ever seen, no matter what team you like, anyone can admit that it was just awesome.

Honestly, I didn't think Brady's comments were that nasty, I could see some cockiness but he doesn't come off to me as a cocky player. He's good at what he does. The one I can't stand is Belechek(sp). That made my night when he walked off the field, nice sportsmanship bud.

Giants brought their A game, I wanted to cry when they won. I'm a life long Giants fan as well. Brad Benson was my Pop Warner coach and I am friends with Shaun O'Hara's brother so it meant even that much more.

I can't get enough of that clip with him laughing at the prediction.

Well, it was close. The front 4 did their job great. Rattle Brady and he just isn't the same. Hell, rattle any QB and you have a different game. I didn't see any wheels come off any wagon.
Must have used loc-tite on their nuts. I am a happy Giant fan!

I can't get enough of the catch and escape of Eli on 3rd and 5. Wow! How do you catch a ball against your helmet???

I can't even tell you how many times I've watched their final drive. I've been in the library all day (supposed to be) studying for my neuroscience final and I've probably watched that final drive about a dozen times and read every article on espn.com about the game.

Man I have Direct TV. I got the football package. I have watched the NFL channel from 11:05PM last night, all day today with the occasional look at CNN, FOX and ESPN. I with ya. Can't get enough of those G-Men
