shouldn't be a problem, what are the pressures for those springs? Cam will peak way sooner than 6700k FYI.

PAC 1518 Springs are similar to Comp 918s - 130lbs@1.80in, 321lbs@1.20in, 318lbs/inch, 0.650 max lift

good. Should be fine, especially with your lightweight valves and your other lightweight valvetrain components.

Thanks JPH. I’ve been concerned because I have the PAC springs and Ti retainers but Comp literature seems to recommend dual springs for all XER lobes – I can’t find a specific recommendation.

With that lift you can install the 1518s at 1.750 for some extra seat pressure.

Are you sure you have the lift listed right? The Comp Cams master lobe catalog shows those lifts to go with a 224/228 XER, or is it a custom grind?

Lift is correct - I made a mistake on the intake duration. Cam is a Comp 54-444-11 224/230 .581/.588

My cam is a bit larger then that with chromoly retainers and PAC 1518's installed at 1.75" and have no valvefloat problems. Stock lifters, and stock GM valves(not lightweight LS6 valves) are what i use as well so I don't think you will have any problems.

Is the pac spring the same/made by PSI ?? Seems like its a LS1511ML (1511).. PSI springs are great from what I've heard/read and can be had for less, if you deal with them. I believe Katech uses the 1511 in alot of there builds except the c5 program which I believe used a LSM 422

We make our own springs.

Katech uses some of our higher end stuff for their C6R program.

PSI was started by ex-PAC guys. Just a fun fact.

PSI 1511 looks and functions entirely different to a PAC 1518

round wire vs. ovate wire

IMO PAC springs are lot easier to get ahold of for a competitive price too, PSI's distributor is a small arrogant group out of NC <rant off>

People spin stock valvetrains (with upgraded camshafts) to 7k rpm every day without issues.

Quick Reply: Will this Combination spin to 6700 RPM without Valve Float?
