Default Maximum lift on stock 243s ?

What is the optimum lift that the untouched 243 head can use on the street through stock intake and exhaust manifolds? I am on the fence between the LPE GT11 or the TR CheaTR in my 05 GTO. Looking for stealth and best power.

Thanks for the reply. I know that I will have to change springs. My question is how much lift can the stock head use? Does air flow diminish at .600 lift or can they effectively use more lift?

whatever your springs can handle, but a stock LS6 casting intake peaks around 260CFM at .550 lift and back flows after that. Exhaust peaks at 195CFM at .600 lift and gains very little after that.

the gt2-3 is good as well as the ls6 cam, don't go too big if you are using the stock manifolds.
