Default LS7 Clutch Swap

I am posting this for my brother. He has an 01 SS Camaro. Few add ons and a good tune. Basically stock car that run ~12.75@108. The clutch has taken enough abuse at the track and it is time for a swap. He was looking at going with the LS7 clutch. Question is, do you have to put in a new LS7 flywheel or can you use the stock LS1 clutch that is in the car now? Is there anything else that needs to be addressed in the swap too? Any suggestions are appreciated and thank you in advance

You have to use the LS2 style flywheel. Scoggin Dickey has the kit(flywheel, pressure plate and disk) for cheap.

Found them by a quick Google search. $400 is a good price. GM with discount was only like $530. He is gonna call them tomorrow and get this ball rolling. Thanks for the direction

Just installed a LS7 clutch/ LS2 flywheel combo on my 99 Camaro SS today. It's very smooth and streetable, yet it grabs like any other high performance clutch. It engages kind of low, but it's suppose to engage higher as it breaks in. It also has stock pedal feel and no chatter at all, making it a great choice for street cars that are more often daily driven than raced. I had a Spec stage 2 in there before, which chattered like crazy and failed. AVOID SPEC AT ALL COSTS.
