Differences in engine & underhood harnesses
Can anyone confirm the difference between Camaro vs Trans Am wiring harnesses for LS1 cars? I have a 2002 Trans Am and I have no engine harness or underhood harness. What would work, and be CORRECT? I assume Camaro harnesses will not work because of headlights, or am I wrong here? Are there provisions for headlight motor circuits tucked in the Camaro harness? I'd appreciate it if anyone could give me a run down on the differences of LS1 F body harnesses. Thanks!

PS... first post in the LS1 section LOL.

1998 Engine harness is specific to '98 cars as they use analog inputs for dash and PCM. '99+ will pretty much interchange. '01 and '02 harnesses will not have EGR connectors in them but will work just fine in a '99. A4 and M6 harnesses are specific also.
Body/engine bay harness is specific to Camaro and Trans Am, they will not switch. I possibly have the body/engine bay harness if you need one, let me know.

Thanks Tim. Reason I ask all this is because I bought a 2002 Trans Am that is missing the underhood harness and engine harness. These are fairly inexpensive so I want to get them right now, it would also be nice to put the windows up LOL. I just bought a '99 Camaro underhood harness after being told that the Camaro harness did have the circuits for Trans Am headlights, but it would be just a pigtail and a separate headlight harness for a Trans Am would plug in. I guess this is probably incorrect but I can't verify because the harness isn't here yet.
Do you have any harnesses for a 2002 TA?
